John Langlands I and John Robertson, Newcastle, c1790

Of rectangular form with canted corners and reeded borders, incised "MADEIRA",

suspended from a silver belcher chain

Condition: Excellent, crisp marks

John Langlands I & John Robertson I :

John Langlands I & John Robertson I were Newcastle based silversmiths,

in partnership from 1778 to 1795.

John Langlands was patriarch of the Langlands family,

who for sixty years wer the largest silverplate producers in Newcastle.

Their silver is known for its high quality.

This bottle ticket is considered very rare and collectible.
